Following Maje Ayidas lawsuit against Toke Makinwa over her book ‘On Becoming’, the media personality has reacted to the situation via an Instagram post.

In the early hours of today, February 3, 2016, Makinwa posted an image of herself stepping off a plane in Ghana with the caption:

 “The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace”.

Maje Ayida hired lawyers to stop the sales and promotion of her book ‘On Becoming’.  Toke is being sued for defamation of Maje through her book.

Ayida’s legal representatives have sent Toke Makinwa a “letter of demand” to stop all forms of promotional activities and also the sales of the book.

She also alleged that the fitness expert was a serial cheat and an adulterer.

The legal documents Maje’s lawyers sent to Toke is reported to have described the book as “exaggerated fabrication.

‘On Becoming’, the book in question was published on Sunday, November 27, 2016 by Kachifo Limited.

Maje Ayida’s lawyers have however said the popular book contained “defamatory words.
 According to the letter of demand sent to Toke Makinwa, Maje Ayida was said to have  “requested legal separation” from her “within 6 months” of their marriage in January 2014 — “when it became clear that the marriage was breaking down”.

Toke and Maje got married on January 15, 2014.  Their marriage hit troubled waters in June 2015 when reports emerged that Ayida’s ex-girlfriend was expecting his baby.
